Testing For Humidity

Simple tests and observations can be made to determine the indoor humidity level.

Conventional Method

  • Mold and moisture buildup is a definite indication of excessive condensation.
  • To determine if the relative humidity level is too low, drop ice cubes into a glass with water. If moisture doesn’t appear on the outside of the glass within a few minutes then air may be too dry (low).
